USAID team, led by Mission Director James Hope visited the group of girls participating in the WOW (Women in Online Work) project in the municipality of Gjilan. During this visit, Hope was introduced to the girls work and progress so far.
WOW as a project, aims in preparing the girls for the work market, mainly the international market, and training their skills to work remotely. This training focuses mainly on developing the knowledge in the field of Graphic Design and Front End, and familiarizing the girls with platforms that enable them to find jobs that they can perform remotely.
The third phase is being successfully implemented by Cacttus and NGO KS-Kosova. Included in the program are 50 girls from the municipality of Prishtina and 85 girls from the municipality of Gjilan. After completing the training, it is estimated that 135 new freelancers will be added to the online work market, since the WOW project, which is supported by USAID, aids the participants in the project to find online employment.
